A dream about the world falling apart.
A sudden bomb attack from another continent.
A declaration of power and governance.
Families drifting further apart.
A false sensation of reality.
A sudden feeling of nostalgia.
A weird surge of inspiration.
A voice shouting inside to take action.

That was the dream I had this morning,
and believe me, it got me motivated
to finish what I started.

A dream about society.
Unfamiliar and familiar faces.
Cheering on me to jump from a high place.
I could die.
But I know this is just a dream.
I readied my gut,
and took the leap.
The crowd's noise grew even louder.
I wouldn't die, would I?
I know I can do this.
I have experience from doing long jump when in high school.

But when I succeeded, there were no cheers for me.
Only cheers for the next person to jump.
And then I realized:
The society is patiently watching and waiting for you to fail.
Only failures get cheered on.
The one who succeed, continues to move on, business as usual.
Because what's really important is not the cheers.
It's to survive.

MCF 2011 visit log

So me and my friends went to CF 2011 last saturday. Gonna write some shit about it.

From what I experienced;

1. Ticketing system (Management)
• Massively long queues
• Difficulty to get ticket to enter the venue is S++
  (I was lucky i had some friends who came early, by 1.00am)
• Crowd Flow control is shit
  
2. Hunger and thirst
• buys a ticket - get chocolate only
• little to almost no cheap, fast food vendor nearby (i'm talking about hotdogs and stuff)
  
3. Doujin/circle booth
• Mostly badges
• Most fanmade merchandise are cheap looking but overpriced/not worth your money etc etc
• mostly caters to fujoshi(s)
• almost no touhou stuff. if available, is either overpriced or not worth it
• Some original content is too western-looking. People would prefer manga style, as it's leaning more towards the niche (anime)
• Most drawing are shit, even if high-quality drawings are present, most of them felt 'empty' during fast browsing.
  
4. Company booth
• eh, keep up the good job
• if possible can add more?

Judging by quality alone, I think it's pretty so-so...

= Great artworks, love the surrealism in their art. Unfortunately, i could only buy

= Shit price for shit piece. Not worth my shit.

Morrigan Attacks Remake

Maybe useful, maybe not. This is my idea of a Morrigan remake. Since this is Morrigan after she fused with Lilith, Lilith will make cameo appearances in some of Morrigan's attacks.

Why FTG game?

People around me always ask me why fighting game? Why limit genre of games that I play to a single genre only? Why not play other games, like RPGs (Final Fantasy, Oblivion) or strategy (DoTA)? Why go into specific details and data in FTG game, why devise mindgames on FTG games but not wanting to touch RPGs (Final Fantasy, Oblivion) or strategy (DoTA)?


During my childhood days, it's not like I don't play other genres. In fact, I was too good at all game genres but I really suck with fighting games. That was the old times. The PSX era. Before games get complicated and complex. Those times, I always play with my cousins​​. Fighting games became an addiction because the rotation of turns to play the game is very fast. Why not? PSX only one unit. Joysticks: two. Simple rule: losers out, winners stay.


Got a this ego thing goin on since I was a kid. A Showoff. and also greedy. If I could, I would play games from morning to evening.


Long story short, ahhh laziness kicks in...... basically you got the idea already. i was very good at using special attacks, no combo though. then one day my older cousin came back home. he challenged me to a game (KOF 94). so I played. then all of the sudden, he PWNED me like it was the best thing to do: bullying kids. I mean come on.... University student, bullying a grade schooler. How can I not get angry?


Then after that I honed my skills, and i became better to the point where my cousins cant keep up with me anymore. Then I moved to the city. The competition in arcade complexes is far greater. I played, and i played.


That's how i became a ftg game player only. I cant play strategy games because i cant find enjoyment in those kind of game genres anymore.
